VERNAL - Carl Stringham Collett, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather passed away December 24, 2004 at the University of Utah Medical Center in Salt Lake City. He passed away surrounded by family members from complications due to a stroke.
He is will be greatly missed by his wife of 58 years, Donna Williams and sister Edna (Raines) of Vernal and seven sons and daughters. Craig (Sandy), Randy Cornaby (Jay), Carl Ray (Wanda), Terell (Sheryl), Donetta Egbert (Herald), Tracy (Susan) and Guy (Dee). Also 34 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Dec. 30, 2004 at 11:00 at the Maeser Stake Center (2475 West 1000 North) in Vernal, Utah. A viewing will be held Wednesday, from 6-8 p.m. at Thomson-Blackburn Vernal Mortuary (15 East 100 North) in Vernal, and one hour prior to the services at the Chapel. Burial will be at the Vernal Memorial Park with military honors by American Legion Post 124 and 11. Services provided by Thomson-Blackburn Vernal Mortuary.
