Mrs. JOSEPHINE ARTERBERRY 84, died athe home of her son, Levi, in South Second St., Tuesday evening after an extended illness. Funeral services will be held Sat. at 2 p.m. in the Buchner Funeral Chapel, Rev. Harry D Green, will officiate. Burial in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
The former Josephine Walker was born Dec. 5, 1861,in Elmira, N.Y. Came to Iowa as a child with her parents, Thomas & Phoebe Walker. Most of her life was spent in this community.
She was preceeded in death by her husband, ALEXANDER ARTERBERRY & 3 children.Surviving are 2 sons, Ben & Levi Arterberry, & 2 daughters, MRS. HARVEY(CORA) Manning & MRS. Clyde (Phoebe) Manning, all of Maquoketa.She also leaves 32 grandchildren & 30 Great grandchildren.
