Mrs Cora Manning, 83, longtime Jackson County resident died Tuesday, August 20, 1968, in a Maquoketa Nursing Home. The funeral will be 2 pm Friday in the Carson Funeral Home here by Rev Jerry Wolcott of the Maquoketa Methodist Church. Burial will be in Mt Hope Cemetery. Friends may call after 2 pm Thursday in the funeral home.

Cora Belle Arterberry was born March 13, 1885, to Alexander & Josephine Walker Arterberry of Tulsa, Oklahoma. She married Harvey Lee Manning February 29, 1907, Maquoketa.

Survivors are 4 sons, Ellsworth (Pete) of Andrew, William, Charles, & Frank all of Maquoketa, 6 daughters, Mrs Irma (Walter) Clark of Clinton, Miss Hallie, Mrs Edna (Donald) Davenport, Mrs Blanche (Clifford) Massey, Mrs Ethel (Millard) Scoby & Mrs Helen (Henry) Clark, all of Maquoketa, 20 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, & a brother, Ben Arterberry of Maquoketa. Preceding her in death were her husband, a son Elmer Vade Manning who died November 3, 1962, the parents, 2 brothers, Thomas & Levi & 2 sisters, Minnie & Phoebe.
