Heloise Bresley, 86, of Ord passed away on Thursday, July 26, 2012, at St. Francis Medical Center in Grand Island, five days after surgery to repair a broken hip.

Mrs. Bresley bequeathed her body to the University of Nebraska Anatomical Board. A Celebration of her life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, August 6, 2012, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Ord. Pastor Russel J. Troester will officiate. Private interment will be held at a later date at the Ord City Cemetery.

Heloise Irene was born on September 19, 1925, to Clarence and Marie (Moravec) Christensen on a farm 5 miles north of Dannevirke, Nebraska.

She graduated from Cotesfield High School and attended business school in St Paul before working at the newspaper there and later at the bank in Scotia. While working there she met Dean Bresley and they were married April 6, 1947.

Heloise was a homemaker, farm/ranch Realtor and Certified real estate appraiser. She volunteered at numerous organizations in the Ord area both before and after retiring. After Sheryl's death she and Dean took up flying and traveled widely for business and pleasure. She particularly loved flying to Omaha to pick up her grandchildren for visits to the farm.

She is survived by her husband, Harry Dean Bresley of Ord; a son, Mark Bresley of Omaha; granddaughter, Nicole Ward and husband Casey; grandson, Jason Bresley; great grandson, Christian and great granddaughter, Grace.

She was preceded in death by two daughters, Sheryl Bresley Naeve, and Jeanine Bresley, a son, Greg Bresley; and a daughter-in-law, Crystal Bresley.
