Obituary of Sheryl D. Naeve
Funeral services for Sheryl Deanne Naeve were held Saturday afternoon at St. John
Lutheran Church in Ord and a memorial service was conducted simultaneously at Presidio
Chapel in San Francisco, Calif.
Mrs. Naeve, 25, died May 9, 1973 at Fitzsimmons Army Hospital at Aurora, Colo.
She was the wife of Capt. Michael Naeve of Fort Barry, Calif., and the daughter of Dean
and Heloise (Christensen) Bresley of Ord. She was born Dec. 27, 1947 at Ord and graduated
from Ord High School in 1966. After marriage, June 7, 1969, she and her husband lived in
Germany where he was stationed with the Army and more recently their home has been in
Sausalito, Calif. She worked part time at the Religious Activities Center at the
Presidio. She was a member of the chapel choir and was active in Post Wives and
Protestant Women of the chapel. She was also a member of St. John Lutheran Church of Ord.
In addition to her husband and parents, she is survived by a brother Mark of Kearney and
an AFS sister Jana Martins of Portugal; paternal grandfather, Harry Bresley of Ord;
maternal grandmother, Mrs. Marie Christensen, St. Paul, and maternal grandfather,
Clarence Christensen, Pine, Mo.
The Rev. Michael Rogers officiated at the 1:30 pm services in Ord. Burial was in the Ord
Bohemian Cemetery.
