Lucille Bessie Maddox, 95, of Sandyville passed away Jan. 31, 2012, at Jackson
General Hospital, Ripley following a long illness.

She was born Nov. 28, 1916 at Jackson County, a daughter of the late Edward and
Alice Dailey Angus. She was a homemaker and a member of the Drift Run Church.

She was a loving and caring lady whom helped care for many members of her family and
friends throughout the years. She attended the Sandyville Senior Center and loved to
play dominos and taking trips with the other seniors.

She was preceded in death by her husband Holly Maddox, a son Clellie Maddox and a
daughter Etta Elliott; brothers Willy Angus, Homer Angus, Ernest Angus and Herbert
Angus; sisters Ethel Weekley Gibson, Anna McCauley, Edith Perdue Williams,
Claresteine Wilkinson and Goldie McCauley.

She is survived by a daughter-in-law Norma Lee Maddox; a son-in -law Jonah Elliott;
a sister by heart Betty Harvey; grandchildren Stephen Shriver (Patricia), Pam
Elliott, Joni Redman (Jim), Glenn Maddox (Barb), Rose Poe (Pat), Gerald Maddox and
Rosa Murrey; great-grandchildren Kim Ott (Charles), Jeremy Shriver (Mindy), Holly
King (Kevin), Tessie Pepper, Doug Coper (Nancy), Gail Martin (Ben), Megan Thompson,
Latricia Kestner, Michael Kestner, Matthew Maddox, Rodney Poe, Alisha Boyd (Josh),
Brandon Bowers and Emily Maddox; great great-grandchildren Zachary Shriver, Brandon
Pauley, Jared Angus, Olivia Shriver, Tyler King, Nicholas Weekley, Colton King,
Kaycee King, Jeffery Garrett, Courtney Garrett, Caleb McClung, Quincey Martin,
Chllsey Martin, D.J. Martin, Kendra Angus, Xander Kestner, Arianna Kestner, Kaitlin
Kestner and Braxton Boyd and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with
Pastors Dave Long and Lawrence Conger Jr. officiating. Burial will be in the Drift
Run Cemetery, Sandyville. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home
