Services for Wilford S. Beck were held Wednesday at the First Baptist Church in Wilson, with the Rev. Steven Newton officiating.  Burial was held at the Hewitt Cemetery.
Beck was born May 22, 1911 in Spanish Fort, Texas, and lived his early life in Nocona, Texas.  He moved to Wilson as a young boy.  He died Monday.  He married Marie Claxton April 30, 1934 in Wilson.
Survivors include his wife, Marie,of the home; two sons James, Ardmore and Roy , Wilson; a daughter, Betty Rich, Wilson; a brother, Asa, Stratford, Texas; two half-brothers, Dwight, Fresno, Calif., and Steve, Columbus, Ga.; two step-brothers, Quinton Daniels, New Orleans, La., and A.L. Daniels, Fresno, Calif.; three sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Shores, Wilson, Mrs. Ura Ness, Nocona, Texas, and Mrs. Etta Bell Harrison, Clay Center, Kan.; one half-sister, Mrs. Deanie Mayberry, Paramont, Calif.; a step-sister, Madge Andres, Fresno, Calif.; and nine grandchildren.  Bearers were Marion Ward, Tommy Ray Jones, Ronnie Shores, Marvin Sullivan, Paul David Steele and John Clayton.  Leslie Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
