WILSON - Memorial services for Mr. Roy Wilford Beck, 66, of Durant is scheduled for Saturday, December 10, 2011, at Alexander Funeral Home Chapel in Wilson with Hartford Hodges officiating.
Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Funeral Home and Crematory.
Roy was born November 20, 1945, at Wilson, Okla., to Mr. Sterling Clendenton "S.C." Beck and Mrs. Winnie Marie (Claxton) Beck. He departed this life December 6, 2011, at his home in Durant.
Roy was raised in Wilson graduating high school from there in 1964. He worked all of his working years as a truck driver.
His CB handle was six pack and he loved driving freight liner trucks. He retired at the age of 65 and always enjoyed fishing and spending valuable time with his grandchildren.
Roy was a 32nd degree Mason and was of the Baptist faith.
Preceding him in death were his parents; brother, James Beck; and sister, Betty Rich.
Survivors include sons, Roy Craig Beck and wife, Teresa R. of Kingston and Gregory W. Beck and wife, Teresa A. of Durant; special friend, Mary Beck of Kingston; grandchildren, Tyler, Payden, Michael, Ashely, Justin and Jordan; two great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and other family and friends.
Honorary bearers are Jody Rich, Terrell D. Tucker, Richard "Cooney" Young and Marion Ward.
Family visitation will be from 6-8 this evening at the residence of Jody Rich, 733 Persimmon St., Wilson, OK 73463.
