She was born May 6, 1922, at South Hutchinson, the daughter of Leo and Lola Garrison Davenport.
She attended school in South Hutchinson. Lola worked as a machinist at Cessna Fluid Power, retiring in 1984.
Lola married Everett A. "Duke" Bankey on July 28, 1940, in McPherson. He died July 3, 2011.
Survivors include: three daughters, Evelyn Sue Lind (Jim) of Wamego, LaVeda Tull of Hutchinson and Retta Young of Pleasant Hill, Mo.; nine grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Oren Davenport; a sister, Mildred Corwin; two sons, Kenneth Bankey and Bruce Bankey; a daughter, Linda Bankey; and a grandson, Jeremy Bankey.
Graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5, 2011, at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., with the family greeting friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4, 2011, at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
