Mildred L. Corwin, 84, a longtime resident of Sterling, died Tuesday, May 11, 2004, at Sterling Presbyterian Manor, Sterling. She was born April 29, 1920, at Hutchinson, the daughter of Leo and Lola Garrison Davenport. A longtimeSterling resident, she was a retired bookkeeper for Glenn and Don's Service and a homemaker.
On Aug. 22, 1939, she married Glenn C. Corwin at Elko, Nev. He died June 2, 1999. Survivors include two sons, Donald D. and Ronald E., both of Sterling; two daughters, Beverly Glass, Lyons, and Joyce Regehr, Corpus Christi, Texas; a sister, Lola Marie Bankey,Nickerson; 17 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Oren Davenport.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Friday at Sillin Funeral Home, Sterling, with the Rev. Robert Friesen officiating. Burial was in Sterling Community Cemetery.
