ALEXANDER B. CRAIG DIES-- RITES IN DOWNS
Alexander B. Craig, more familiarly known as "Berry" Craig, died at 1:3- a.m. Monday in the county hospital. He suffered a stroke of paralysis two years ago, and has since gradually declined in health.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the First Methodist Episcopal church at Downs. Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery. The body will be taken Monday evening to the home of Ed. L. Weaver, where it will remain until the hour of the service.
Mr. Craig was born in Downs township, July 18, 1849, and spent most of his life there with the exception of a few years in Kansas. He married Miss Frances Savidge, who died about six years ago. He leaves one daughter, Mrs. Romulus Wray Dooley of Sullivan, and a number of nieces and nephews. He was a member of the Downs Methodist Church.
