MARY JANE KAZAR, AN AGED DOWNS RESIDENT, IS CLAIMED BY DEATH
Mrs. Mary Jane Kazar, aged resident of Downs, died Friday night at 11:45 o'clock following a ten days illness with influenza and complications.
Mary Jane Craig was married to William C. Williams, June 1, 1860. He served in the Civil War and died in action. To this union was born one daughter, Lora Phlena, who married M. L. Adams of Downs.
She married David Cheney Kazar, March 6, 1871, and they lived on a farm east of Downs for some years. Her husband died April 17, 1894. To this union twin sons were born, Ora, who died in infancy, and Ira B. Kazar of Normal.
Besides the son and daughter, she is survived by five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren, and the following brothers and sisters: A. B. Craig of Downs; Joseph Craig of Bloomington, Mrs. Dorinda Malone and Mrs. Martha Gardner. Two brothers preceded her in death.
She was a member of the M. E. Church. The funeral services will be held this afternoon at 2 o'clock, with Rev. Mr. White of Normal officiating. Burial will be made in Hopewell.
