MOTHER-DAUGHTER SERVICES FRIDAY

Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Friday, in Hippensteel Chapel for a mother and her daughter who died hours apart Tuesday, May 6, 1969.

The mother, Mrs. Minnie M. (Mills) Haley, 78, died in Home Hospital at 12:55 PM and the daughter, Mrs. Eva Anderson, 56, was pronounced dead on arrival at Home Hospital at 7:30 PM. The mother had been ill seven weeks and the daughter suffered a heart attack as she was leaving Holy Trinity Lutheran Church to go to the funeral home to make final arrangements for her mother.

Mrs. Anderson was born in Lafayette and spent her life in the community. She was married in 1927 to Clayton R. Anderson, who died in 1960; he was a plasterer.

She is survived by a son, Willard K. Anderson; and five daughters, Mrs. Gene Metzger of Lafayette, Mrs. Don Scharer of West Lafayette, Mrs. Michael Koning of Lafayette, Mrs. William A. Smith, Jr. of Bloomington, MN, and Mrs. Chester Renick of Lafayette; a sister, Betty (Mrs. Wilbur) Hippensteel of Winamac; three brothers, Earl C. Haley of Shelbyville, Edward Haley, Jr. and Roger F. Haley, both of Lafayette; and 16 grandchildren.

Rev. Otto Friedman will officiate at the services. Burial for Mrs. Haley will be in Tippecanoe Memory Gardens and for Mrs. Anderson in Spring Vale Cemetery.
