Carolyn J. Anderson Smith, 76, died Friday, Dec. 24, 2010, at her home in Oceanside, California.
She was born Dec. 3, 1934 in Lafayette to the late Clayton E. and Eva Haley Anderson. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Willard (Kim) Anderson, and brother-in-law, Don Scharer. She married William A. Smith on April 5, 1956. He survives.
Also surviving are four children, Elizabeth Polarias of Pueblo, Colorado, Jennifer McGregor (husband: Christopher) of San Marcus, California, Douglas A. Smith of Pueblo and Charles Smith (wife: Gene) of Las Flores, California; four sisters, Barbara Metzger (husband: Gene), Penny Scharer, Pat Koning (husband: Mike) and Sheri Renick (companion: Dianna), all of Lafayette and 4 grandchildren, Charlie Smith Jr., Haley Smith, Ben McGregor and Molly McGregor.
She served in the U.S. Navy.
