Obituary: Mrs. Mollie E. Ashmore, 71, of 1900 Hillcrest will be buried in Laurel Land after funeral services at 11 a.m. Saturday in Miller's Chapel. She died Thursday in a hospital after a three-week illness. Mrs. Ashmore was a native of San Saba and moved here in 1936. She was the widow of Alonzo Ashmore, who died in 1950. Mrs. Ashmore, a five-star mother during World War II, was a member of Arlington Heights Methodist Church. Survivors include five sons, Alonzo Ashmore of Kansas City, Eugene, William P. and Charles Doyle Ashmore of Fort Worth, and Lee Hoyle Ashmore of Austin; two daughters, Mrs. Melvin Odom and Mrs. Jack Wilson of Fort Worth; three brothers, John, Will and Harper Perry of San Saba; a sister, Mrs. Charles Grumbles of San Saba, and 14 grandchildren.
