Obituary: W. P. "Bill" Ashmore, 84, a retired aircraft manufacturing supervisor, passed away Saturday, Dec. 20, 2003, in Fort Worth. Graveside service: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Greenwood Memorial Park. Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Greenwood Funeral Home. Bill Ashmore was born Dec. 12, 1919, in Manor. He retired from General Dynamics after 40 years of service. Bill was a longtime member of Arlington Heights Christian Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth M. Ashmore in 1998; and son, Dennis Ray Ashmore in 1984. Survivors: Son, Gary Ashmore and wife, Gayle; grandchildren, Melissa Ashmore, Diedre Cook and Will Ashmore; great-grandson, Jeffrey Cook.
