Irene Allison, 87, of Springfield died at 7:54 a.m. Friday at her residence. She was born on July 11, 1900, in Springfield, the daughter of Monroe and Julie Redd Reeves. She married John W. "Bucky" Allison in 1921 in Springfield, and he died in 1968. Also preceding her in death were her parents; two brothers, John and Larry Reeves, and one sister, Dorothy O'Donald. A resident of Springfield all her life, Mrs. Allison was formerly employed for many years at Myers Brothers Department Store. Surviving are four sisters, Elma Bringle, Beulah King, Marie Burge and Betty Jean Rowley, all of Springfield; several nieces and nephews. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Vancil Memorial Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Alfred Council officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park.
