Betty Jean Rowley, 94, of Springfield, passed away on Sunday, September 2, 2018 at Lewis Memorial Christian Village.

Betty was born on December 20, 1923 in Springfield, the daughter of Monroe and Julia Redd Reeves. She married Yale “Buzz” Wilson Rowley on November 7, 1947. He preceded her in death in 2015.

Betty worked for P.H. Broughton & Sons, Inc. before moving on to Chapman Propane and lastly working for Horace Mann Insurance. She enjoyed dancing, crafting, word finds, spending time with her family and riding the motorcycle with her husband.

She was preceded in death by her husband; eight brothers and sisters; and her daughter, Sherry Garnett.

She is survived by her daughter, Toni (Jim) Davis of Springfield; granddaughter, Michelle (Fred) Lamkey of Riverton; grandson, Brent R. (Laura) Davis of Springfield; great-grandchildren, Lainy and Kaily Lamkey and Jack and Drew Davis; granddog, Baily; and several nieces and nephews.

There will be gravesides services, where family and friends are invited, at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 10, 2018 at Camp Butler National Cemetery with Reverend Larry Hanson officiating.
