Mr. Louis Minor, age 89, of Taylor County, died Tuesday, May 13 at the Metzmeier Nursing Home. He was a native of Taylor County, born January 20, 1881, the son of Liza Jane Shively and James Wesley Minor and was married to Minnie Belle Edelen Minor who preceded him in death in August of 1962.

He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Mae Belle Cantor of Detroit, Michigan; four sisters, Mrs. Sylva Veatch and Mrs. Sue Wise of Campbellsville, Mrs. Lou Gribbins, Bradfordsville, Mrs. Mary Tungate, Indianapolis, Indiana; two brothers, Bob Minor, Willoughby, Ohio and Dave Minor of Indianapolis, Indiana; 2 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

The funeral services were held Friday, May 16 in the St. Francis DeSales Catholic Church in Spurlington at 10 a.m. with burial in the church cemetery. The Rev. Joseph Prendeville was in charge of the service. Pallbearers were: Robert Chaney, Garnett Barnes, Alva Bell, James Mitchell, Lee Read, Jr., and Clarence Spear.
