Funeral services for Mrs. Safronia M. Gribbins were conducted Sunday afternoon, September 23, at Tallow Creek Methodist Church, with Rev. Russell Carver in charge. Interment was in Old Liberty Cemetery in Marion County. She was a member of the Tallow Creek Church.

Mrs. Gribbins was born in Taylor County on April 24, 1879, the daughter of the late James Wesley and Eliza Shively Minor, and died at her home in the Tallow Creek community on Friday morning, September 21, following a long illness.

She was united in marriage to Luther Gribbins, who survives, on March 28, 1900. To this union two daughters and one son were born.

Surviving are Mrs. Eugene Tungate of Route 1, Campbellsville, and Mrs. Nettie Napier of Indianapolis, Indiana. Besides her husband and daughters, she is survived by three brothers and four sisters, Lewis Minor, Route 6, Robert Minor of Willoughby, Ohio, Dave Minor of Indianapolis, Indiana, Mrs. Sylvia Veatch, Route 6, Mrs. Fred Gribbins of Taylor County, Mrs. Susie Wise of Campbellsville, and Mrs. Emma Tungate of Indianapolis, Indiana; ten grandchildren and twenty-four great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were David Tungate, Kenneth Gribbins, Laurel Gribbins, Travis Graybeal, Graham Brady, Henry Noel.
