Funeral services for Mr. Otha Minor, 68, were held on Friday, September 5, at 2 p.m. from the Merrimac Christian Church with the Rev. L.C. Young of Russell Springs officiating.

He was born in Taylor County, September 17, 1889, the son of the late Mr. James L. Minor & Mrs. Eliza Shively Minor. He died at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 3, [1958] at the Veterans Hospital in Louisville after an extended illness.

Mr. Minor professed faith in Christ June 30, 1958 and was a member of the Christian Church at Merrimac.

He united in marriage to Miss Bertha Wheatley, who preceded him in death June 11, 1934, and to this union 2 sons were born. Surviving is Elza Minor of Merrimac. Arvie Lee died in infancy.
In 1937 he married Miss Mattie Vaughn, who preceded him in death, March 30, 1954.
He then united in marriage to Mrs. Janie Woodrum, September 20, 1956, who died on February 22, 1958.

Other survivors are 3 step-sons and 1 step-daughter, Mr. Ansel Vaughn of Shepherdsville; Carl Vaughn of Dearfield, OH; and George Woodrum and Mrs. Della Wise, both of Taylor County.
Also 3 brothers and 5 sisters, Louis Minor, Mrs. Fred Gribbins, Mrs. Frondie Gribbins, Mrs. Sylvia Veatch, all of Taylor County, Mrs. Susan Wise of Campbellsville, Mr. Dave Minor and Mrs. Mary Tungate, both of Indianapolis, IN, Mr. Bob Minor of Willoughby.
Mr. Elliott Minor preceded his brother in 1948.
Three grandchildren, Stevie, Neal and Darleen also survive as well as other relatives.

Burial was in the Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery in Taylor County with Tom Brown, George Malone, Thomas Gribbins, Edwin Stamp, Lindsey Graham and Tom Penn Phillips as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were J.B. Stayton, Dewey Jones, Jim Graham, Jackson Gribbins, Walter Spurling, Webb Helm, Ernest Noe and Cleveland Minor.
