Verda Florene Hutchison 78, of Sugar Creek Rest in Worthington, formaly of Hilliards, died at 9 p.m. Sunday at Sugar Creek Rest.
Born March 18,1923, in Emlenton, she was the daughter of John and Lillian Walley Cook.
Mrs. Hutchison was a member of Hilliards Methodist Church and the church`s Over 50 Club.
She had worked at the Lincoln Bakery and Russell Bennett Studio.
Mrs. Hutchison is survived by her husband, Edward R. Hutchison, whom she married on Aug.25,1940; a son, Dale L. Hutchison of Butler; a sister, Betty Gladd of Butler; a brother, Ray L. "Bud" Cook of Grove City; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, four sisters and five brothers.
Friends of Verda F. Hutchison, who died Sunday Sept.9,2001, will be received from 2to4 and 6to8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Young Funeral Home in West Sunbury. Services will follow immediately at 8:30 p.m., at the funeral home, with the Rev. James Mohr, pastor of the Saint Andrews United Presbytairn Church in Butler, officiating. Burial will take place at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Rosewood Cemetery in Ridgeville.
