She was born April 21, 1881, near Hundred, W. Va., a daughter of Aquella Fairfax Gilmer and Mary Taylor Gilmer. Her husband, George W. Anderson died in 1948.
Mrs. Anderson had resided at Waynesburg for the past 25 years. Previously she had lived at Bristoria. She was a member of the former Bristoria Presbyterian Church and an elder of the church.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. George A. (Wilma) Shelton, Bridgeton, N. J., and Mrs. Duke (Frieda) Inghram, Las Vegas, Nev., three sons, Lenial D. Anderson, Washington, James R. Anderson, Holbrook, and Howard R. Anderson, Waynesburg; 18 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren; one brother, Howard Gilmer, Fairmont, W. Va.; and one half brother, Ted Gilmer, Chicago, Ill.
