MRS. BERTHA A. SCOTT

Mrs. Bertha Anderson Scott, 57, wife of Ralph B. Scott, of 175 North Richhill street, died at 11:25 a.m. Tuesday, August 6, 1957, in Greene County Memorial Hospital. She had been seriously ill three weeks.

A lifelong resident of Greene County, she was born December 27, 1900, at Ryerson Station, Richhill Township, a daughter of George W. Anderson, deceased, and Myrtle Gilmer Anderson, who survives. She was a graduate of Richhill Township High School and attended Waynesburg College. She taught school for two terms and was employed in the old Union Deposit & Trust Co. at the time of her marriage June 16, 1926, to Ralph B. Scott, president of the South Penn Telephone Co. All her married life was spent in Waynesburg. She was a memebr of the First Presbyterian Church and the Mothers Study Club of Waynesburg.

Surviving besides her mother and husband are a son and daughter, Robert A. Scott and Thelma J. Scott, both at home; three brothers, Lenial D. Anderson of Washington, PA.; J. Raymond Anderson of Holbrook, and Howard R. Anderson of Canton, Ohio; and three sisters,Mrs. George Shelton of Bridgeton, N. J.; Mrs. Duke Inghram, Las Vegas, Nev., and Mrs. Ray Bissell of Washington, Pa.
