A fatal accident to two people came Sunday afternoon, which a car driven by Mr. Wayne Fleming of near Fair Oaks, was completely demolished by a Monon train at a point two miles east of Fair Oaks. With Mr. Fleming was his wife, Mrs. Loretta Lewis Fleming and both were killed instantly. The track at this crossing was not obscured in any way it is said and the man, evidently engrossed in conversation, did not see the approaching train. The victims were thrown several hundred feet and the machine carried a long way before the train could be stopped. The couple had been to Parr, and were on their way home. The hour was 3:45 o'clock.

Wayne Fleming was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Fleming of southwest of Rensselaer, and was a second cousin to Mrs. Sebe Ehman of this place.

Alana Knochel Bachman, # 47076457, provided the obituary for Wayne's Memorial.
