Charles W. Fleming, 82, of 327 South Park avenue, died about 3 p.m. Friday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Max Comer, R. 2. His body was discovered at 6:30 p.m. Friday outside the house by members of the family.

Born in Newton county and educated in schools there, he was married to Anna Lyons in 1902 at Brook. The couple came here in 1938. Mr. Fleming was a retired farmer. He was a member of Brook, EUB church.

Surviving with the widow are two sons, Everette and Gaylord of Rensselaer R. 6; three daughters, Mrs. Comer, Mrs. Lewis McCurtain of near Remington and Mrs. William Woodworth of Rensselaer; a brother, Elan Fleming of Rensselaer R. 3, and two sisters, Mrs. Della Martin of Indianapolis and Mrs. Dessie Haag of Sheldon, Ill.

Friends may call after 10 a.m. Sunday at Jackson funeral chapel, Rensselaer. Services there at 2 p.m. Monday; burial in Weston cemetery.
