Lulla Estelle Pruitt Swancey, 75 of Marietta, died Wednesday. Funeral was held at the chapel of Mayes Ward Funeral Home with the Revs. J. C. Bankston and Ledies Bargo officiating. Burial was in Georgia Memorial Park. A native of Cherokee County, Mrs. Swancey had lived in Cobb County for the past 40 years. She was a member of Austin Avenue Baptist Church in Marietta and was employed with Owenby Manufacturing Co. in Marietta for 19 years until she retired. She is survived by her husband, Amos Swancey of Marietta; six daughters, Mrs. Harry (Jane) Vaughn of Tampa, Fla., Mrs. Roy (Maggie) Cagle and Martha Kemp, both of Marietta, Carol Stark of Riverdale, Mrs. Jerry (Peggy) Smith of Loganville, and Mrs. Gary (Linda) Yancey of Dunwoody; two sons, Lee C. Swancey, Sr. and Carl W. Swancey, both of Marietta; two sisters, Ruth Hillhouse and Pearl Turner, both of Holly Springs; 21 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
