Jesse E. Pruitt, 64, died at his home in Holly Springs Feb. 27 following a long illness. Mr. Pruitt was born May 12, 1884 in Oconee county, Georgia.
He was a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church where funeral services were conducted by Revs. Wood and Boston. Interment was in Hickory Flat cemetery with Sosebee Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Surviving are sons Luther of Holly Springs, Ernest of Lebanon, Joe and Paul of Canton; daughters Mrs. Amos Swancey of Marietta, Mrs. Jim Hillhouse and Mrs. Leonard Turner of Canton; brothers Charlie of Marietta, Early of Lake Wales, Fla., and John of Lebanon; sister Mrs. Gordon Langley of Holly Springs. Pallbearers were Roy, Wade, David and Edward Pruitt, Draton Langley and Homer Tucker.
