Mr. Hawks, an employee of the National Plastic Company of Odenton, Md was born April 7, 1899 in Patrick County, Va. son or W H and Rhoda Puckett Hawks.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Hattie Gammons of Arlington, Va., Mrs. Emma Wickman of Essex, Md/ Mrs. Arlie Greene of Baltimore, Md. , and Miss Christine Hawks of Odenton, Md.; two sisters, Mrs. Maude Russ of Concord, NC, and Mrs Sis Bowman (obituary listed Smith) of West Virginia; 10 grandchildren; four half brothers, Floyd Hawks of Fancy Gap, Va.; Alex, Victor and Arnold Hawks, all of Martinsville, Va; one half sister, Mrs Nellie Hawks of Pinnacle.
The body will remain at Moody Funeral home here until taken to the church one hour before the service.
