Born: 1/6/1907 Died: 7/14/2005 Obituary: SHUMAN - Elsie Mae, 98, Fords Corner Road, Nanty Glo, died July 14, 2005, at UPMC Lee Regional. Born Jan. 6, 1907, in Mount Airy, N.C., daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Henry Hawks. Preceded in death by parents; husband, George; and five brothers.
Survived by son, George Shuman, Jackson Township; daughter, Nellie McConnell, California; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Member of Pilgrim Holiness Church, Twin Rocks. Friends will be received Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Bowser-Ondriezek Funeral Home, Nanty Glo, where service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. Interment, Lloyd Cemetery.
