Fannie Elizabeth Halbeisen was born Sept. 21, 1882, in Fremont, Ohio, and departed this life on May 16, 1947, at the age of 64 years, 7 months and 16 days.
She moved with her parents to Nebraska in 1898 and has spent the greater part of her life here.  She was married in 1906 to John Wheeler Fox.  To this union six children were born, five of whom survive.  One son, Wayne, preceded her in death just nine months ago.
She leaves to mourn her passing her husband, John Wheeler Fox; two daughters, Mrs. Beulah Denver, Wichita, Kan., and Mrs. Wilma Sweley, Grand Island; three sons, John of Butte, Mont., Carl of Litchfield, and Dean of Long Beach, Calif.; nine grandchildren, four sisters, three brothers and a host of friends.
She was a loyal, loving wife and mother and will be sadly missed in the family circle.  She was a devoted member of the Methodist church and made the golden rule her way of life.  Her friendliness and generous co-operation in all worthwhile activities, endeared her to everyone.
Funeral services were held Monday, May 19, at the Methodist church at Litchfield, in charge of Rev. A.W. Johnson of Minden, Nebraska.  Mrs. Paul Givens and Mrs. B.B. Grice sang, accompanied by Mrs. Irving Stieber.  Interment was in the Litchfield cemetery.
