J. E. JONES DIES AT HIS HOME HERE
Aged Native of England Had Lived In this Community for Past Fifty-six Years
J. E. Jones, Sr., 86, native of England and a resident of this city and community for some 56 years, died at his home at 412 East Walsh at 1:15 a.m. today following illness throughout the past winter and spring.
In death he is survived by his wife Sarah, and by four daughters and two sons, who are: Mrs. Harriet Wilson, of Kansas City, Mrs. Amy Maxwell of Centerville and Emma and Mary Jones of Kansas City, and Job of this city and Frank of Davenport.
Mr. Jones was well known locally and had a host of friends and relatives who mourn his passing. No funeral arrangements have been completed at this time and will be announced later. It is asked that friends will please omit flowers.
