Mrs. Maxwell Rites Wed.
Mrs. Amy Maxwell of Independence, Mo., former longtime resident of Centerville, la., passed away Saturday night at the age of 71 years, 3 months and 17 days. Born in Forbush, la., on July 2, 1892, she was the daughter of Job and Minnie Eddy Jones. On May 28, 1924, she was united in marriage with James Maxwell.
Surviving are her husband, five children, James and Don in the U. S. Army, Jack in the Marines, Mrs. Lea Maupin and Mrs. Jean Turner of Independence, Mo., eight grandchildren, a brother, Frank Jones of Davenport, and two sisters, Emma and Mary Jones of Kansas City, Mo.
Mrs. Maxwell was a long time and active member of the Gospel Chapel Church. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Oct. 23, at 1:30 p.m. from the Johnson Funeral Home with John D. Lewis officiating.
Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
