The Grim Reaper.
On Saturday, April 28th 1888, at 6 o'clock, P.M., Mrs. Anna Akers, wife of Amariah Akers, passed quietly away from this world to her long reward, at her residence in Brush Creek Valley. Mrs. Akers, whose maiden name we failed to learn, was born in Franklin county, August 1, 1807, and was in her 81st year. For more than half a century her peaceful life has been spent in Brush Creek valley, about one half mile from the Akersville M.E. church where her sweet Christian character has exerted its influence for good on a large circle of friends and acquaintances. On Sunday, 29th ult., at 10 o'clock a.m., appropriate services were held at the above church, conducted by Rev. J.C. Brown, after which her remains were borne to their last resting place, followed by many sorrowing friends and neighbors. A FRIEND.
