Last Will and Testament of Sarah Philips of the Township of Warren in the county of Franklin and State of Pennsylvania. I, Sarah Philips, considering the uncertainty of this mortal life, and being of sound mind and memory, do make and publish this my last will and testament, in manner and form following (that is to say), I give and bequeath unto Jemima Philips (a daughter of Catharine Philips being deceased) all my personal estate, goods, and chattels of what kind and nature soever. I do hereby appoint Joshua M. Philips sole executor of this my last will and testament hereby revoking all former wills by me made. In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and seal, the eleventh day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventy eight.

Signed, sealed, published and declared, by the above named Sarah Philips, to be her last will and testament, in the presence of us, who, at her request, and in her presence, have subscribed our names as witnesses thereunto.

Before me, John S. Sollenberger, Register for the Probate of Wills, &c, in and for said county, personally came John E. Philips [one of] the subscribing witness[es] to the within instrument of writing, who being duly qualified according to law, did depose and say that they were personally present and saw Sarah Philips, late of warren Township in said County, deceased, the testatrix therein named, make her mark to said writing, and seal the same and heard her publish and declare the said instrument as and for her last Will and Testament, and at the time of so doing she was of sound and disposing mind, memory and understanding, to the best of their knowledge and belief, and that their own names thereto subscribed as witnesses were so subscribed at the request of the testatrix in her presence and in the presence of each other.

Franklin County, SS: Before Me, John S. Sollenberger, Register of Wills, &c., in and for said County, personally appeared J.M. Philips who being duly qualified according to law doth depose and say that Sarah Philips, late of the Township of Warren, in said County, deceased, died on the 14th day of April A.D. 1880, and that he has no knowledge of any testamentory writing of later date than the one presented in this court for Probate, affirmed and subscribed before me this 5th day of May, A.D. 1880.
