Olga Elizabeth Anderson was born in Princeton, Michigan on March 20, 1911, the daughter of Alfred and Hanna Aho. In 1913 the Aho family moved to their farm in Urness Township, Douglas County where Olga attended school and graduated from the Alexandria High School. She was also a graduate of the Normal Training Class and for several years taught rural schools.
On July 24, 1937 she was united in marriage to Oscar Anderson. Mr. and Mrs. Anderson farmed in Moe Township until 1946 when they moved to Brandon where they have made their home for the past twenty eight years.
Olga passed away at the Douglas County Hospital in Alexandria, Minnesota on Sept. 14, 1974, at the age of 63 years. She is survived by her husband, Oscar; one son, Frances Anderson of Minneapolis, Minnesota; one daughter, Nancy (Mrs. Dale Johnson) of Minneapolis; also surviving are seven grandchildren and seven sisters: Senja (Mrs. Charles Bine) of Minneapolis; Lillian (Mrs. Frank Dubban) of Minneapolis; Esther (Mrs. E. L. Brewer) of San Diego, California; Mayme (Mrs. Lloyd Hokanson) of Evansville; Aune (Mrs. Ford Thornton) of San Francisco, California; Mrs. Helen Stigen of Fergus Falls, Minnesota; Signe (Mrs. Robert Kraftherer) of Alexandria, Minnesota.
Funeral services were held Sept. 17, 1974 in Grace Lutheran Church, Brandon, Minn. Rev. John Quam officiating. Pallbearers were Robert Kraftherer, Charles Bine, Lloyd Hokanson, August Anderson, Clarence Anderson, Carl Fredrickson.
