Immediately after their wedding, January 2, 1935, Margaret and Julian moved to Abingdon, Illinois, later moving to Avon, Illinois. They moved back to Washington County and settled in Springfield in early spring 1948.

KIDWELL, MARGARET BLANDFORD, age 94, died at 9:55 p.m. Saturday, March 31, 2007. Margaret was born in the St. Rose Community near Springfield, KY. She grew up and attended early school at St. Rose and the public schools. After spending early married life with her husband, Julian P. Kidwell who farmed in central Illinois, they returned to Springfield, KY. In 1978, Margaret moved to Louisville where she attended St. Agnes Catholic Church on Newburg Road. She is survived by two daughters, Pat (Richard) Montgomery and Lydia Sugarman; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Funeral mass will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 3, 2007 at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 1920 Newburg Road, where visitation will be after 1 p.m. Tuesday. A graveside service will be held near the 4 p.m. hour at St. Rose Catholic Church in Springfield. Carey & Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions: Sisters of Charity at Nazareth Home, Hospice or St. Agnes Church.
