GEORGE E. BLANFORD, 77, of 2227 Millvale Road, died there Tuesday. He was retired owner of the old George E. Blanford Mechanical Contractor Co. and the old Tri-City Realty Co. He was a member of Audubon Country Club and Bishop Spalding Council of Knights of Columbus. Survivors include his wife, the former Catherine Hardesty; a son, Dr. George E. Blanford of League City, Texas; three daughters, Rosemary Wills of Roswell, Ga., Virginia Blanford and Ann Jones; a brother, Edward Blanford; two sisters, Sister Anna Blanford of St. Catherine and Margaret Kidwell; and nine grandchildren. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 1920 Newburg Road, with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be at Ratterman's, 3711 Lexington Road, from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday. The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society or to Mass of the Air.
