Dolores M. Planty, 76, Dunnellon, Fla., formerly of Ogdensburg, died Tuesday evening at her home.

Mrs. Planty worked for several years at the former Cleveland Container Corp. before joining the staff of ACCO Brands, where she worked from 1963 until retiring in 1985.

Born March 2, 1930, in Camden, N.J., the daughter of Archie and Edith Renaud Ross, she graduated in 1947 from Ogdensburg Free Academy.

She married Ray C. Planty on March 30, 1948, at Notre Dame Church. The couple made their home on Ford Avenue and spent summers at their cottage on the St. Lawrence River in Morristown.

After retiring, they wintered in Florida and spent summers on the St. Lawrence. In 1995, they purchased their home in Dunnellan, where Mrs. Planty has since resided. Mr. Planty died Sept. 5, 2002.

Surviving are three sons and a daughter-in-law, a daughter, three brothers and a sister-in-law; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Fox-McLellan Funeral Home with the Rev. F. James Shurtleff, pastor of Notre Dame Church, officiating. Entombment will be at Foxwood Memorial Park, Ogdensburg.
