Emma Lang, 85, Epworth Towers, died Thursday, July 25, at her home. She was born Aug. 7, 1899 in Catherine to Leonard and Ida (Walters) Leikam. She was a homemaker.

She married Mike Lang in Catherine; he died July 29, 1982.

Survivors include four sons, Alex and Eugene, both of Hays, Mike, Santa Barbara, Calif., and Virgil, Kansas City, Mo.; seven daughters, Irene Staab and Emma Brungardt, both of Hays, Edna Critchfield, Hill City, Erna Silkman, Goodland, Mary Jane Sowards, St. Louis, Ida Groff, Phoenix, Ariz., and Patricia Raip, Topeka; a sister, Christine Hogan, Hays; 31 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church; burial in the church cemetery. A parish wake service will be at 8 p.m. Sunday at Brock's North Hill Chapel. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 1 to 9 Sunday at Brock's.
