Lyle G. Clements, 84, died May 1, 2007 at Hutchinson Hospital.

He was born Nov. 18, 1922, in Martland, Neb, the son of Clarence E. and Eva C. Hill Clements. He graduated from Davenport, Neb. High School. A resident of Hutchinson since 1969, having lived in Wichita and Salina, he had been a farmer and also worked for Beech Aircraft, retiring as a maintenance supervisor for the Hutchinson Recreational Commission. He belonged to Forest Park Presbyterian Church.

On May 28, 1944 he married Iola F. Miller in Davenport, Neb. She survives. Other survivors include a son, Marvin and wife Faye, Hutchinson; three daughters, Yvonne Cope and husband Michael, Moundridge, Rita Connell and husband Bill, Hutchinson and Ruth Schletzbaum and husband, John, Silverdale, Wash; 10 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Kenneth and Maurice and four sisters, Dorothy Moore, Vera Seefeld, Lois Seefeld, and Betty Buethe.

Funeral will be at 2 pm Saturday at Elliott Mortuary Chapel, Hutchinson. Burial will be in Fairlawn Burial Park. Memorials may be sent to the American Heart Association in care of the mortuary.
