Dorothy Clements Moore was born on the farm near Edgar, Nebraska, May 28th, 1909, and departed this life August 17, 1931, aged 22 years, 2 months and 20 days.
She grew to young womanhood at Martland, where she was converted and united with the United Brethren church (sic) when twelve years of ago. Four years ago she united with the Methodist church (sic) at Oak. She attended and graduated from the Geneva high school in 1927.
On August 12th, 1930, she was united in marriage to Maurice M. Moore who mourns deeply the death of his bride of barely a year.
Besides her husband she leaves to mourn her departure, her father and mother, Clarence and Eva Clements of Oak, and three brothers and three sisters: Kenneth, Vera, Lois, Maurice Lyle and Betty also of Oak. Also her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. G.E. Clements of Geneva, and other relatives and many friends.
Though not in the best of health last winter during the revival meetings she was very faithful in attendance, playing the piano when there. She never missed services when able to attend and though ill about four months, she was joyful and hopeful unto the end. Those so near and dear should understand that God makes no mistakes, and that with mortal minds we can only see life begun. While we wait to see life finished or God's work completed, let us say, in our own words to the one who has gone before:
---------------------
How brief your stay with us has been,
Your days brought love and cheer,
So now in silence as you speak
To Him may we bear near;
For this we know if we are true -
A guiding light you'll be
To stear (sic) our boat across the waves
When boistrous is the sea.

Funeral services were at the Oak M.E. church (sic) at two o'clock Wednesday after. Burial at Edgar.
