His last 53 years resided at Clearfield. He was a member of the LDS church and served several positions, Elders Quorum President, in the bishopric as 2nd counselor and bishop. He loved to go fishing, gardening, deer hunting and farming. Afton graduate from Granite High School and from the University of Utah with a degree in social services
