He was born to Edwin and Afton Higley June 22, 1951 in Ogden, UT. He was raised in Clearfield, UT and graduated from Clearfield High School in 1969 and he served in the National Guard.
He married Diane Farr on May 26, 1973 and their marriage was later solemnized in the Ogden LDS Temple in 1977. Together they had four children. They were later divorced. He married Kris Mager on June 3, 2004 and their marriage was also solemnized in the Bountiful LDS Temple in 2009.
Mark was a very successful contractor/developer in Weber and Davis County for many years. He was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in many callings throughout his life.
He was an avid outdoorsman. He loved to hunt, fish, camp, golf and spending time up at his ranch. He loved serving in the Temple and spending time with his family and friends. He was a very generous man who loved to serve others. Mark was a very humble man. He always lived life to the fullest. He enjoyed teaching others but especially teasing others. He was well respected in the community.
