After an illness of three weeks, Mrs. Martha A. Cox died Tuesday at 8 a.m. at her home, 911 Jefferson Avenue. She was born in Tyler County, W. Va., Jan. 23, 1864, the daughter of Jacob and Susan Carrico McDonald, but had spent the last 39 years in Ross County. She was married Sept. 1, 1881 to William L. Cox, who died in 1922.

She was a member of the High Street Church of Christ.

Surviving are two brothers, Charles McDonald of Washington County, O., and Byron McDonald, Chillicothe; one daughter, Mrs. Everett Collins, Chillicothe; five sons, David, Floyd, and Martin of Chillicothe; Granville of Columbus; and Clarence of Chillicothe; 24 grandchildren; and 32 great-grandchildren.

One son and one daughter preceded her in death.

Services will be conducted from the Friends Church in Londonderry Thursday at 2 p.m., with the Rev. James Rinehart officiating, and burial will be in Londonderry cemetery under the direction of Fawcett's Funeral Home.

Friends may call at the residence on Jefferson Avenue after 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, until 1 p.m. Thursday.
