Funeral services for Sidney Silas Clark of Petty, who died suddenly at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Carson Community, will be held Friday at 2:30 p.m. in the Petty Baptist Church. The Rev. Percy Renick and the Rev. Paul Washburn will officiate and Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home will make interment in Oakwood Cemetery. Masonic graveside rites will be conducted by Masonic Lodge 164 AF & AM of Honey Grove.

A retired farmer, Mr. Clark was born Nov. 16, 1905 in Honey Grove, a son of Dillard and Naomi (Sisco) Clark. He married the former Miss Flora Pearl Knight on April 24, 1925 in Maxey. He was a member of the Petty Baptist Church and of Masonic Lodge 164 AF & AM of Honey Grove.

Survivors include his wife, a son, Billy Don Clark of Electra; two daughters; Mrs. Helen Livingston of Garland and Mrs. Marie Brummett of Dallas; two brothers, Amos Clark of Paris and Jack Clark of California; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends tonight between 7:30 and 8:30 o'clock at the funeral home.
