Honey Grove, Services are pending at Cooper-Sorrell Funeral Home for G. Z. Clark, 51 of Center Hill, Texas who died 12:30 p.m. Friday while on route to a Georgetown Hospital.
Mr. Clark was born in February 1919, in Petty, Texas and was married in June 1941, in Hugo, Oklahoma, to Miss Dorothy Beavers. A member of the Methodist Church, Mr. Clark taught school in Georgetown. His widow of Center Hill; two sons, Steve and Byron Clark of Center Hill; and three brothers, Silas Clark of Petty, Jack Clark of Torrance California, and Amos Clark of Paris, survives him. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday.
General Zifton Clark was the son of William Dillard Clark and Naomi Sisco Clark. Zifton was born in Petty, Lamar Co, Texas and died in Williamson Co, Texas. Zifton and his wife was both teachers.
After their marriage his wife taught in East Texas while he was in the Pacific Theatre of World War II. Upon his return he returned to College and earned his teaching degree.
