Honey Grove, Marie Brummett 70, of Honey Grove, was held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 29, 1998, in the Cooper-Sorrells Chapel in Honey Grove. The Rev. Jimmy Ellis Officiated and burial was in Oakwood Cemetery in Honey Grove.
She died Monday, April 27, at her residence. Mrs. Brummett was born Oct 20, 1927 in Petty, a daughter of Silas and Flora Pearl Clark. She married Bob Brummett Aug. 13, 1962.
Surviving are her husband, Bob Brummett of the home; two sons, Jim Meyers of the home and Richard Meyers and wife Lavonne of Frisco; a daughter, Elaine Mullins of Paris; three step-daughters, Debra Ann Wilson of Plano, Donna Louise Hanley of Kingston, N.H. and Dianna Tupmon of Tulsa, Okla., grandchildren, Shane and Kelly Meyers of Atlanta, Georgia, Jennifer Rhoades of the home, Harrison Clark Meyers of Frisco and Nicole Myers of Frisco, a great-granddaughter, Deborah Jade Myers of Atlanta; a sister, Helen Livingston of Paris; a brother, Billy Clark of Electra, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Pallbearers were Steve Vanderslice, Robert Livingston, Mike Roten, Ben Kelso, Buddy Hudson and Jerry Allen. The family will receive friends from 7:30-8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Note: Marie married #1 Leroy Myers and #2 Robert (Bob) Brummett.
