The Paris News February 19, 1939 - Silas Dalton Clark
Silas D. clark three-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. S.S. Clark of Petty, died Friday afternoon at 3:45 at Griffith Children's hospital, where he had been ill with pneumonia. the child was born at Petty on July 22, 1935. The funeral was held at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon by the Rev. L.L. Bolton at the Baptist church at Petty, with burial at Hickory Grove Cemetery, Brown-Roden funeral home having charge. Surviving besides the parents are two sisters, Marie and Helen Clark, and the four grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Knight and Mr. and Mrs. Dillard Clark, all of Petty.

Note: The obituary states that Silas was buried at Hickory Grove Cemetery. He was buried in the family plot in Oakwood Cemetery, Fannin Co, Honey Grove, Texas.
