Last Rites Held for Mrs. W. D. Clark
Funeral services for Mrs. Naomi Clark were held at the First Christian Church in Honey Grove at 3:00 O'clock Sunday afternoon, July 1. Mrs. Clark died at Allen Memorial Hospital, June 30, 1962, Bonham, following a four year illness.
Officiants at the last rites were the church pastor, the Rev Edwin Gorom and the Rev. Newton Hambrick, pastor of the First Baptist Church at Petty. Cooper-Sorrella Funeral Home directed interment in Oakwood Cemetry.
Pallbearers were Wylie Fuller, Bud Knight, Bob Shipman, Douglas Whitten, Ernest Hudgens and James Cunningham.
A native of Jackson County, Tennessee, Mrs. Clark was born June 16, 1887. Her parents were the last Scott Sisco and Celina Sneed Sisco. She was married to W. D. Clark on March 1, 1903 and was a member of the First Christian Church in Honey Grove.
Survivors include her husband, W. D. Clark, Petty; four sons, Silas Clark, Petty; Amos Clark, Clardy; Zifton Clark, Ft. Worth, and Jack Clark of Los Angeles, California; a brother, Tom Sisco, Honey Grove, eleven grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
